A warlock is a very potent dps-class, and is capable of a very high dps output, even without very much gear. The dps is diffrent in the diffrent talent speccs, and they are all able to do good in raid-enviroment.
This guide will give you some insight into "destruction" and will cover the fields of talent speccs, spell rotations, gems, what stats to aim for, and glyphs.

    Talents

There are several ways to spend your points in the destruction tree, some talents are more vital then others and some are more optional. The most usual talent-specc (High dps-output, good starter) is the 3/13/55 talent specc. It gives you the highest possible dps output untill you get hit cap'd from gear alone. It has some points that can be re-aranged, such as Shadowfury, but most of the talents should be left alone if possible.

    Good: High dps-output.
Bad: Somewhat low raid-utility with the loss of "Improved Soul Leech"

    Standard build: 3/13/55

There is a more utility based specc as well, that removes some of your personal gain to buff the rest of the guild, The specc somewhat looses it's purpose if playing with a mage, or with alot of people supplying replenshment, but is still viable thanks to its high dps-output.

Good: Good raid utility, good dps.
    Bad: Somewhat situational.

    Utility Build 3/5/63
(Note that in both builds there is one spare point, due to Backlash actually bieng a 3-pointer while bieng displayed as a 2-pointer at the armory).

    Spell Rotations

As for spell-rotations, there are pretty much a solid cycle to follow, and you want to use the cooldowns whenever they are ready. There is two dots that is uncluded in this, and that is corruption and Imolate. (CoA is often a bad choise, and also you mostly use CotE). So, the ordenairy singel target rotation is something like:

    CotE-> Immolate->Conflagrate->ChaosBolt->Corruption->Incirnate->Incirnate
Then just use conflagrate and chaos bolt as they come avaivable while refreshing Immolate and Corruption.

    GEMS

Well, i will weave in "stats to aim for" in this one as well, because frankly the stats you need are often the ones you gem. Now as everyone should know, the first thing to aim for is the hit-cap, and at level 80 against a boss level mob the hit-cap is 447 (with Suppresion 368). So that is your first goal. Personally though, as long as you are above 250 hit, id gem for SP or Haste instead, because either you are soon going to get hit-cap'd anyways, or you'll get cap'd by diffrent buffs avaivable in the game. So, from personal experience the stats you should be looking for is something like this:

    Spell Power > Haste > Crit/Spirit

    GLYPHS

Alright, there are a few good and viable glyphs out there, but im just gonna lay em on the table, to tell the benefits (the ones that are worth of mentioning).

Glyph of Conflagrate: A must have for any warlock. Without this you need to recast Immolate after every conflag. You dont want to recast immolate.
Glyph of Incirnate: This is frankly also a must have. Incirnate is your main dps-spell, and can often stand for about 60% of your dps or more, and a 5% dps-bonus is great to such a spell.
Glyph of Immolate: Glyph of immolate is good, just not that good. It encreases your dmg-done by the periodic time of Immolate, and that also effects the dmg output by Conflagrate as well.
Glyph of Life Tap This Glyph somewhat scales by gear, in a diffrent way then the others do. If you have high spirit, then the 20% can really give you some good numbers, and the long duration makes it all worthwhile, and afterall you are going to lifetap. Alot.

So these ones are the avaivable ones, make the best of it!
